Palo Alto

This addition to a single-story Eichler, originally built in 1954, contains a primary suite over a family room for a young family. The addition was designed to meet the challenge of creating a clean modern volume that also aligns with the mid-century ethos of Eichler architecture. The result is a sloped volume with metal panels over a concrete block base that bridges the gap between two eras of modern design.
