Amber Drive

A fourth-floor addition to an existing three-story Eichler residence, this project makes a meaningful connection between the new fourth floor family room and the kitchen/living/dining spaces two floors below. Inviting interior staircases create these links, and a steel bridge stretches from the family room to the rear yard hill, allowing for full engagement with the landscape. On the exterior, cement board panels connect the third and fourth floors at the rear, while the three floors on front of the house are clad with vertical Shou Sugi Ban wood siding.
